So i bought this game the other day and it's pretty good. I'd heard it compared to left 4 dead and borderlands and i can see that. It's a pretty manly game and also pretty buggy. But great fun in co-op. Haven't tried single player and really don't intend to.
Definiately my favourite zombie game. I liked left 4 dead but hated everyone who played it. Valve put so much work into making this amazing atmosphere and brilliant levels but all the players wanted to do when i joined the game was **** sprint as fast as they can from point A to point B. When have you ever seen that done in the history of ever in a zombie film/show? People CREEP and slowly make there way trying to avoid zombies. The retards in left 4 dead jump on the **** cars trying to get an alar...wait has this turned into a moan?
ANYWAY dead island doesn't have that problem the one time i found myself rushing i got jumped by 3 zombies i didn't see, thrown into a pool cause I'd used up all my energy running and set upon by them all so it helps to be a bit careful. It's also very very pretty.
I've got a few friends who picked it up on launch day, and they seem to enjoy it quite a bit. I've also seen various bits of a playthrough on Bluexephos' channel, and it does seem like a very multiplayer/coop oriented game.

I really want to get it, but there are soo many other games I want to get right now I need to save up a little bit of money so I can get them all at once.

This Fall season is definitely a great one if you're a gamer. Even good to be a PC Gamer with the new releases as well. Plus, can mostly wait till the Steam sales for some discounts... If not, there are a ton of pre-order discounts at Amazon and Newegg where they usually give you $10-15 store credit. Not too bad. Beats the $60 pre-order for many of Activision's games.
