Two and a half years since I've played Runescape (and posted here) and I can safely say that this its no longer the game it was and jagex are no longer the company they were. Weapons and Armour have inflated to the point where a level 20 can probably kill blue dragons. The game economics favors the new system and in bringing back trade and wilderness, Jagex will have to reverse most updates made since 07.
Best comment made in this thread.
The changes they made buggered the game up for a good year. It took a years worth of updates to get it half right.
The system now isn't perfect but it works fine. Don't change it back. I don't want a broken game for a year again. I don't want to go back to having to watch out for pkers trying to kill me when I'm just running runes. It's griefing. Any other game would do it's best to cut that out.
If your insistant on bringing the wild back remove any reason for non-pkers to go there. TT, runecrafting being the main ones.
I've played a lot of MMO's over the years now and one thing they al lhave in common is the pvp is seperate from the pve. As it should be. It's not to everyones play style.
As for the trade. It's a hard one that. I wonder what becomes of the GE because frankly while a limit isn't perfect i love being able to dump **** on the GE and not care about it. I DO NOT want to log into world 2 and spend an hour spamming trying to get someone to buy something.
And i think that's what will happen. People wont go by GE prices they'll sell for what they want on world 2 instead. Bringing back the annoyance of it all.
Seriously leave it the **** alone. People remember the good and forget the bad. You can't just make a huge change to your game then flip it and do it again.
And as for Jagex being confident about the bot problem.
What a load of *******. Take it from someone who spent a couple of months fishing non-stop in the mineral caves. The amount of high level bots down there is a **** joke. Several had skill capes on.
