Working for Jagex

If Jagex offered you a job to work for them in the RuneScape department, what sort of position would you choose? A writer, programmer, graphics, etc?

I'm just curious to see what people around here would be interested in so don't post things like "l0l i wouldn't accept the job!!!1!"

I would personally like to be in graphics. 3D modeling is very interesting to me, and I think I would be fairly good at it since I have a pretty large background with AutoCAD and programs similar to that.

How about you guys?

I think I'd either like to work in content or in hardware maintenance of some sort. (I love taking apart computers and putting them back together, as long as they aren't my own :twisted:

i think id be with u davo in working in the 3D aspect of the company, or id like to just sit around and come up with ideas to implement into the game

I toyed with eventually trying for a job with Jagex but then realized I would have to live in Cambridge so I tossed the idea

I'd like to be in either content creation or community management. I love just daydreaming things up for the worlds I have in my head. I even draw some, to the point that I come up with weird stuff, to the point that a friend of mine says that my body produces it's own narcotics.

Well, Im not sure I would due to the fact that they pay like 35k per year? (usd) or something like that? If they paid like 50k, or something I think I would. I would like to be on content crew. My imagination would rock in rs

Definitely programmer though I'm not too interested in focusing strictly on Java. Still, I'd be fun to have an active part in creating new content for the game.

Since I'm no good with practically anything related to graphics or programming, I'd have to go with the content team/writer area. I feel that Jagex has done that great of a job in this area and could use a little more help in coming up with ideas on where to take storylines or what type of things should be added to the game. I'd also probably take the job just to live in Britain/Europe for a while. That would be a pretty cool experience imo.

well not really that I wouldn't other then I couldn't.
Only thing that I would be able to do , and happens to be the only thing that I would want to do. would be the Music.

creating music for the game.
just always loved the nice, relaxing , peaceful music of RS ( Lightwalk , Long way Home , ect )

although I mostly listen to my own music. I still like theirs , if the mood strikes me.

I'd have to go with PR. I feel that they just don't reach out enough to the community, and when they do, it seems a little forced. Although other than that, content creation could be fun.

Programming, but not necessarily on the game itself. I'd be more interested in working on their in-house software and compilers. I could do story-writing, although there'd be loads of people who'd be a lot better at that than me. As for graphics- a definite no. I could do the creative side alright and come up with plenty of good ideas, but I'd be no good at actually making it- you've never met someone as bad at art and drawing as me!
