Parents fault really. If he was playing it every hour of everyday like they claimed and skipping school they should of taken action. It's really not hard if they refuse to go you march them into there class and embarrass them you don't back down and let them do as they please.

I honestly didn't know the age of consent here is 16, I had thought it was 18. That kid is pretty messed up he could've been raped or something if that woman was a man and really who the hell wants to hook up with a 42 year old unless she's super sexy and what are the chances of that sexy woman playing WOW? I think this is strange but it doesn't seem that harmful to the boy. I mean it's not like the woman is a pedophile or anything. And I think you have to be 16 anyway to have consensual *** with someone older. I do think he shouldn't have met up with her until he was 18 though and not dependent on his parents. Running away just isn't the right approach and is really irresponsible.

I mean yeah it's sad the boy has been wasting his life away on WoW instead of meeting girls his age but I'm sure when he first started talking to the 42 year old he wasn't like "Yeah! Score! I'm going to hook up with her!" Someone can't really choose who they fall in love with.

I must sound crazy. Oh well.

I think it's just another one of those cases that prove how people with a tendency to dysfunction can be aggravated by addiction to a game as addictive as WoW. I mean, really, is WoW sooo much more important than school that you should not go to school at all? I agree, the warning bells in the parents' minds should have gone off a looong time ago. Of course, love can be found just about anywhere, but still, the kid is only 16 and spending his time on school and preparation for the SAT or the Canadian equivalent, finding a girlfriend, and not secretly dating someone nearly 3 times his age over the internet...

OK, the heavy WoW addiction causing him to skip school is horrible and the main issue I see,
but I don't see why everyone is going nuts over the relationship. I know someone who is married to someone 18 years older than them, and they are perfectly happy. 16 is the age of consent in many places anyway.

So get this, we know its confirmed the two had ***.
So here in Ontario the age of consent is 16. Lady wasn't fined here, she was never arrested. But get this in Texas the age of consent is 17. Lets just say they were waiting for her when she went back home. Lol.

On our local news one comment was made about this and how we should have tougher laws like Texas. Lol. That's always great, lets be like Texas
