Who/What do you report?

What do you report people for? And who do you report? I dont report my friends, unless they are really being offensive and I asked them to stop. Usually I only report other people if they are being abnoxious, I dont report for things like:

"Ah cr@p, my yews died"

but if someone is being verbally abusive I would.

I never really report people tbh.

Well, I reported 443509345344534 bots before the trade limit update. But I don't really consider them "people".

I don't report anymore.

I used to report truckloads of autoers/gold farmers back in the day.

But I won't bother reporting for anything, tbh. If someone is being annoying/offensive, I can just ignore them.

I only report someone if they're being really annoying and have used cursing/called people really bad names like no other. Usually report bots too, although there's hardly any around anymore and I don't know what good it does.

It really depends, if there is a lot of stars then I report or if they ask for like personal details and stuff like that.

I remember last year i reported about 37 bots at the flax field. Im sure JaGeX really didn't care but whatever. About 2 years ago tho I reported a guy named "Andrewg4123" (not suspicious or anything ) He actually pm'd me asking for my acc info. I reported him and I actually got a message from JaGeX thanking me for the report personally and that they had banned him or w/e.

As for people that are annoying I try to talk some sense into them from a mature players standpoint. I try not to get involved if im not the person they're bothering but sometimes its difficult to let things go. I dont think you can really report someone for being annoying unless they are insulting you. I think its funny how a lot of people report annoying people under the offense of "Bug Abuse" lol I guess they think bug abuse means bugging or annoying you instead of game glitches. XD Score one for the younger demographic of the game

I only report autoers/bots about a year ago. Every day I would send in more than 10 reports. So, I barely report anymore unless people use account sharing.

Yeah i pretty much only report if i know there gonna get banned for it
(like i wouldn't report someone just for calling me a noob or something lame like that.)
Like if they are swearing over accessibly or being really mean to me or just being outright rude.

i only reported these auto tiper shouting out sites i couldn't care less about ppl talking trash coz i know 1 report won't change it and i just give up on making such *** holes go mute themselfs

I only report blatantly racist or sexist remarks and those seem to be really rare. I did report once for language because it was an unending barrage and they wouldn't quit.

Blatant stupidity and rules I think are necessary.

The stupidity is censor evading. Why you would do that in public chat, I have no idea.

On rules I think are necessary:

Offensive Language to the extent of basically stupidity - the ignore list is there for a reason and I prefer to use it for things I can't handle rather than reporting them for Jagex to punish them unfairly.
Serious bug abuse, which has never happened. I'm not going to report someone who found a way to get boxing gloves out of a POH (which you're not supposed to report anyways but I doubt Jagex cares)
Account sharing - how hard is this to follow? Stupid to break it and then even go ahead and admit it.
Third party software - again, way too easy to follow, stupid to break it.
Encourage others to break the rules - depends the rules though. Of course I wouldn't be as stupid to report something like: (yes someone did report this for encouraging others to break rules and I was muted and I'm not even permitted to appeal)

Advertising rule breaking websites, legit sites I'll just add ignore if they're doing it over and over
Personal details, really depending. Asking for gender, name, age, country, city, email, favourite colour etc. are okay to me but nothing really specific like "Hai gimme your address plz"

So that's basically it.

Oh, and only report in public chat, unless it's a random idiot that decided to come into whatever clan chat/private message me.
