Read here

Many other MMOs have done bonus exp weekends, so I guess RS has finally decided to jump on the bandwagon. What do you think about this? Personally, I would prefer the bonus to say consistent, but I guess giving a constant 2.7x exp for two days would allow people to tank pretty hard. Are you ***** that you can get a 99 easier now with this addon, or do you not care?

From what I read, the double xp bonus only lasts like 10 hours, then it's done. The only skills I know that you could get 99 in 10 hours are summoning and maybe construction. All the other skills would take way to long to get to 99 in only 10 hours. Now I could see people getting maybe 2-3 levels (depending on the skill) in the 10 hours, but not a 99.

True, but I'm saying people could probably make a noticeable dent in their training with this bonus. Maybe they won't get to 99, but they'll still have that advantage over those who got 99s without the bonus exp.

The bonus diminishes over time and bottoms out...it's not like you're getting 2.7x experience the whole 10 hours. The second you log in the bonus begins to decrease so if you want to maximize how well you benefit from this, prepare beforehand.

They also have said things like Sacred Clay, Pennance Horns, etc. do not stack with this bonus.

And whoever said you'd be able to get 99 construction in 10 hours if you planned right, you're wrong (unless you were already high 90's). Refer to the graph they posted in the article..you guys make it seem like this is some huge event and it's really not lol

Its very faster XP than the normal XP. Bring a Sacred Clay, Volatile & Penance Horn or Master Penance Horn as fast as possible.

interesting, too bad that it will only last for 10 hours, but still, good for putting a good dent in just about any training.

i don't really like this update in the article its basically stating that over the weekend penance horn/sacred clay/fishing gloves/Brawlers will not degrade and will be ultimately useless for the duration of the weekend. that means after the bonus is over you can train but you cant use sacred clay or anything

They do NOT stack. You will not get more than 2.7x bonus on that weekend, ever.

I think this experience bonus is a good thing. There's nothing better then not having to work for your experience for a weekend. and the fact that it lasts 10 hours... epic.

Meh. I don't really like the idea. Members is already pretty easy. F2P could really use something like this. I don't think this kind of this is necessary or needed, but that's just imo.

Well, if it works out well, they said they might make it F2P, so just wait, it might happen. But I really doubt this won't go well. Going to be useful for Summoning.
