I only have enough to afford z spear, sara sword, or a cheap godsword... is there any one that is a good all around or are they pretty much the same?

Saradomin Sword is the cheapest I believe, so aim for that, it is the same stats as a Godsword, but it is a crush weapon and does not have the passive effect.
