Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about my slayer task of 42 bronze dragons at my level (81)? Because wind blasting them is not working out.

with those stats ur pretty much outta luck with slow kills either ranging or maging.
Yeah, ranging them also failed. Is there any way for me to get a task more suitable of my skills?
your probly better off sticking to vannaka (edgeville dungeon) for awhile, and training up your ranged and/or magic to around 70 or so would help in the long run as well.
get 43 prayer and melee with melee prayer would be my best suggestion. And like Bladez said, train range, and mage and switch to vannaka.
I'd try using the antifire potion for one.. You shouldn't be getting hit at all while maging.
Also, don't wear metal armor. Wear Mystic. You're lowering your Mage attack bonus currently.
