Solomon is not really RWT because it does not give any in game advantages, it is all cosmetic. And SoF is nothing like the hot/cold gambling that players do. It is pretty much the same thing as the drop system, rare drops are rare, and other smaller drops are fairly common. And in the player hosted gambling, huge sums of money were at stake. With SoF you are not paying huge sums of money in attempt to get more money by chance. It is somewhat gambling, but its just a wheel that you spin to pick your prize, you are guarnateed a prize. And Solomon and SoF are great ways to break money in, which is being put into the game, not into Mod Mark's wallet like everbody thinks. I bet if SoF and Solomon did not come about, we would not have EoC, we would not have TWW or at least it would not have been nearly as good as it was. And I bet without SoF and Solomon, RuneScape would not be getting HTML5 support in the coming months, nor have support for tablets, etc.
And to be completely honest, I really do love Solomon. It is a great way to bring money into the game, and it is just cosmetic. Paying some money to make you character look cool....what is wrong with that?
I will again post what I already posted.
Not real world trading? So if I go out and buy a Santa Hat(a
cosmetic idem) on a site that's not real world trading? No. Of Course it is. You are trading real world money for an idem in a game. That is real world trading. Doesn't matter if it cosmetic or not. In the end it is real world trading.
REAL money for FAKE items (cosmetic or not) is real world trading.

well if you really want to get down to it, everytime you buy items to go boss hunting you are in essence gambling that the money you used to fight it will give a big return in investment with a very nice drop.
that is also a game of chance that is beyond your control.
When I go to Nex, I don't go into the room and say "Hi Nex, here's 50m. Will you host this bet for me?
No. That is exactaly what you are doing. Now you might not
say it, but that is what you are doing in a sense. You are risking them items that you have on your character for the items that Nex may drop. That is gambling. No. There is no hosting, or scamming, or anything of that nature, but you are betting, just though a different medium.
