Is Counter Strike: Source [GunGame] another version of CS, or a type of game setting? During the summer sale I got CSS and was hoping it was.

It's a game mod within the game. It's not an expansion or anything like that. If you got CSS, you are covered. You'll just need to download the maps and gun game mod before you can play. But that is taken care of when you join the RSBandB server.

Indeed. That's not a bad price, and is only ~10% more expensive than it was a few weeks ago during the Summer Sale.

But also, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be coming out in a few weeks, also for $15, so it might be worth it to just get that instead.

CS:GO is 10% off preorder. It's coming out August 21st. Highly suggest you guys consider buying it and we make it part of the PC Gaming event..

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for anyone wishing to pre-order.

Looks like PayPal is down for a bit, so I'll wait a little before purchasing.. Glad that it's up for grabs now though. $13.50 for a brand new game on release day isn't bad. On the plus side regarding us and servers, it's got GunGame and a few other mods built in. This means that updating should be a much smoother process, and less likely to screw us over completely.

I'll be pushing for it, yes. It has the mods we use for CS:S built in, so the updating hassle will be eliminated (or at least greatly reduced). Plus, at $15 at launch or $13.49 for pre-order, it's not a huge barrier to entry. Not free, but not $60 either.

It's ready and waiting in my library, so feel free to do whatever you'd like. You'll save $1.50 if you order now, and if you can spare $13.49, I think it would be worth it. Beyond Rsbandb, it will be a fun game if you've enjoyed CS:S or any prior version. Same basic concepts, just better graphics and a few new game modes.
