Steam Account?

I'm becoming interested in TF2 and am wondering if you guys think I should bother getting a steam account (as well it could lead me to some other cool games). Should I make an account?

I would say yes as there is no downside at all to making and account

If you ever do get in to pc gaming a large amount of pc games are available/require steam, so it will be useful there. And if you do decide to get TF2 you should definitely come to PC gaming nights, they are every Monday at 8 P.M. RSBandB time.

I do do gaming on PC but lately I've just been RS.

Your user name is just your login, you can change your display name to whatever you want afterwards.

Well what do you have to loose by just making an account? If you're interested in it, why not...

Not like they will charge you $7 a month for an unplayable game if you make an account

If you like Cool Beans, go with it. Otherwise, choose an alternate username (if you have one) for whenever Estor is taken.

As Cliff Dude pointed out, it's just your login name. It could be ISuckMajorlyInAllAspectsOfLife, but you could have your display name (ie: what everyone else sees) be "Estor The Amazing".

Yep, please do! Plus, check out the weekly PC Gaming Event thread. Vote on what you'd like to attend, be it TF2, HL2:DM, or CSS. You can usually get HL2:DM for free if you look in the thread, but apparently the link isn't working for everyone anymore.. Not sure if it was AMD or Nvidia that has a bad link. Either way, at least one free game to choose from

Found out you can't have spaces in your name so I settled with 'SoWhatsNew' but my name isn't capitalized. Does it just display it this way on the site or did I pull a *******?

Your display name (which you can change to whatever you want, whenever you want) will allow spaces, capital letters, fancy characters, ASCII art, and more.

If anything you should make your login name as complex as a password so you can have twice the protection! (not really)
