Hey, just wondering, but is the event supposed to say 11pm est? It's usually 10pm. The Upcoming events on the main forum page says 11pm.

Showing 10pm for me, and yes, still 10pm for now.

Make sure your DST is turned off in the Board Preferences

It's looking like we'll probably stay with the same day/time as we have for the last year, at least until otherwise notified. The majority of actives are able to attend at that time, and changing it to earlier conflicts with various schedules. Day changes would be more likely, though Monday does work for whatever reason in most schedules.

Yay! I finally get to make it to a PC Gaming event in <insert time here>. Wish it could have been something other than TF2 though.

EVERYONE should come and join mumble as well, its great fun. TF2 is free, no reason not to come this week.

If TF2 is chosen would it be possible to do some surf maps or something to add some variety?

Surf maps? I'm not sure what those are...

Generally we're trying to stick with CP and PL maps due to the way the server is currently configured. If we want CTF, KOTH, or other map types, the server needs to be shut down for the alternate configuration to be loaded.. Not the easiest to do mid-game.

I was wondering if we could do some randomizer, and the alternate server configuration tonight. Also, it might be fun to boot up the old holiday maps for anyone who didn't get them (lolme).

Surf maps take time to get used to and I'm not sure the majority of our games are into that.

Basically, surfing is when you use only the "A" and "D" keys to move on a slanted surface. It's hard to understand in words, but if you know what surfing is, I think you get the picture.

Just stick to CP and PL maps. Leave surf maps to another server.

Any possibility that the event could be shifted to 1 hour later than it is now, (like it was during DST ? 4 weeks ago?) so that I can still attend :?:

At the moment I get home about 40 minutes into the event, but when DSTs stop in NZ I'll be getting home 1 hour and 40 later than the event starts.

I'm sure all the regulars wouldn't mind. (that or we just force everyone to play longer? that works too :twisted:

)

Okay, I didn't get a notice through Steam that we had the event today, and my friends list only had Dots as the only person playing TF2 tonight. What gives?

I was having some Steam issues as well, so it wasn't only you.

Same. I didn't get notice either. And I was playing on TF2 at the time as well.
