Vancouver restaurant bans men from peeing standing up

Of course, now they say it was a joke all along. But perhaps only after the story got picked up and put out to several major newspapers did they realize what a bonehead move they made.

From what people say, it's the women they need to ban from standing up (or hovering if you prefer). I don't know if this is true, never been in one myself since I'm not a woman, but apparently the women's public restrooms are usually messier.

I can't blame them. I never use public toilets. If i really have to it's only ever for #1 and never #2. I'm not sitting on those things it's disgusting. At least i can stand up and just sorta go without having to touch too much.

Ya, you could never pass a law like this. You wouldn't survive as a politician. And it's a man's right to pee standing up, not a privilege.

best way, to enforce this, is to remove urinals, post a security guard at the entrance at the door. when the guy is done, have the guard check and see. if there is splatter you knew he stood up.

However, i hope that restaurant gets shut down.

Women's restrooms are disgusting. Toilet paper everywhere, pee on the seat, other miscellaneous trash strewn about. I tend to just hold it and wait until I can get home. What I miss about Germany is that there were always restrooms that were super clean because there was an attendant that sat inside to sweep and wipe down everything. When you'd leave, you'd give her a small tip.

That's a little creepy. Don't know if I'd like someone chillin' in the bathroom. One thing's for sure...I wouldn't make a mess. That would just be embarrassing.

Lol in Europe where most of the bathrooms were like some small amount of Euro cents that I can't recall, maybe like €0.15 to use, the bathrooms were so clean. I was there with my school, the person you pay outside of the bathroom at one in Waterloo apparently told one of the teachers we were so polite thanking them and stuff lmao... so I guess not many people respect the idea of paying.

I guess it's not much different than going to the bathroom with someone in the stall next to you.
