290 pound 64 year old man sues white castle

A 290 pound stock broker named martin kessman is filing a lawsuit against white castle for not making booths large enough so he can fit in the booths.

Instead of going in the store himself, he sends his wife in. This is so stupid. He even goes to say he fits in with the handicapped. If he wanted to fit in the booths, he needs to lose the weight.

Being grossly obese is not a "handicap" and you should not be treated as if you are disabled, it is a LIFE STYLE choice. I think you should be prohibited from buying fast food, or at least entering a fast food restaurant, if you are over a certain weight. LOL Well, not seriously.

Who even eats inside a fast food restaurant anymore? They should just have drive-thru only places by now...to avoid this kind of stupidity.

As a person who works in fast food, I'd have to say that about 25% of our customers eat in the restaurant, 25% take it to go, and 50% are drive thru.

I usually eat inside. Can't be asked to wait to get home to eat it, or have to be careful of spilling it all over a car.

Exactly. They can complain about room in cars rather than tables. I guarentee they'll eventually have an XL version for each kind of car produced soon.

I just stared at that picture laughing for a good 20 seconds. Him sitting there staring at the camera. This is a joke, the average person can fit in that chair, why should it be made bigger for overweight people.

Eh, well this is just another example of the lawsuit-addiction culture that America's famous for. The whole get-rich-by-complaining-and-suing-for-something-trivial is unfortunately quite successful in the states. I'm sure most of you know about the lawsuit that succeeded in it's attempt to sue McDonald's for it's coffee being too hot...

It's ridiculous yes but whoever White Castle is, they know what country they're operating in and to be quite frank how hard could it have been to set up a couple tables with non-attached chairs even temporarily... telling the plaintiff that he could have simply asked for a chair also seems quite rude/condescending and serves only to rub salt in the wound that he is large.

Certainly wouldn't reach the courts in the UK that's for sure. A Judge would just laugh at them and fine them for wasting the court's time. :/

What I mean to say is a tax on morbid obesity that is the product of no regard for what's healthy. I've seen you, Trekkerz. You're not bad off like some people!
