Well I got it back again, just need to keep it that way. ... only took 5 hours of account recovery HELL.

Not yet, because the hacker got the account yesterday, around 23 hours ago, he used the bank and cancelled the cancellation request. So i'll be waiting until about 00:01 friday GMT time.

Make sure you put up as much security as you can until then. You might be smart to transfer your bank to someone else for a while until you are sure the account won't be taken again.

Link the account to your e-mail address and if they already have an e-mail address registered try changing it, it will take something like 14 days since you obviously can't get the confirm code from the person's e-mail account but just hope that they don't check their e-mail for 14 days and then the account will switch over to being registered to your e-mail address. If they do check their e-mail they just have to submit the abort code and it cancels the request :/

So I went for my exam today (so I wasn't able to check my account since about 6pm last night) and I lost it again. Gayyyyy. Recoveries going through but they have my facebook linked to it now too so fingers crossed it'll only take a few more times.

Yeah it got locked at some point in the last 24 hours - just edited first post. But then again that may have been my post in the hijack thread on the official forums. Eitherway, this guy won't keep my account for much longer :twisted:

I very much doubt it since i've changed computers since he took the account, twice even

How he's doing it is probably because he's had it hacked for so long.

Yes you do get a notification but if you do not submit the abort code within something like 14 days the e-mail address will change to the one that was submitted. (aka his e-mail address)
