Do people actually go around collecting up food and armour? Seriously? How **** long do these floors take you lol

I hate people that stand about doing that. Just sodding open the doors forget the rest. At MOST I'll cut a tier 9 tree down to have some logs in my inv so that IF at the end when it's time to kill the boss I'm low on food i have a decent fire to cook some food on. But I'd *never* collect food or make armour otherwise.

Monsters drop plenty of food and armour..well i do fine without it. And arguing that a lvl 3 woul..wtf. You'd have to kill every single enemy on a complex 5 dungeon so the little sod doesn't get 1 hit. Who does that?

I get through dungeons as quick as possible. No idea why anyone would do it any other way. Also;

Lol people do this because they are skiller pures, and your "at most I would cut a tier 9 tree..." With that skiller you would already have high quality food for the boss as well as pots and other supplies. I totally agree with you on the ridiculous doors, especially if no one can pot to that level. People do skill in dungeons, you can upgrade your ring in it lol but they definitely should raise the XP for solos since it can be harder than having a team, like at the stomp boss.

Now we're partly starting to agree. I only cut the tree just in case. Usually by the time we reach the boss and are ready to fight i have a full inv of food anyway. The monsters drop plenty of salve eels. Besides fishing up some blue crabs or whatever takes no time at all it's really not a fair trade off for losing a level 130 who could have been cutting down monsters quickly.

There is actually a positive part of having a leve 3 in a dungeon. I once did a large dungeon with a team that had a level 3 skiller on it who had multiple 99 skills. While having skills needed for certain doors, his low combat level makes the monsters easier while still having a 5:5 difficulty.

I have multiple 99s, so do countless others. As Warren said it doesn't bring the monsters level down enough to make it worthwhile. You guys are clutching at straws on this one.

Creepy,

I agree with what you posted, as it is in the skill category, which I think is the flaw. I don't see how it is a skill. Everything about DG is a mini-game, and it should be categorized as one.

What I think they should have done.

Made it a mini game with a level. The rewards are just like a mini game rewards. The only out of DG thing you get to do with higher level is unlock Resource Dungeons. (I use the Hell Hound one a lot.)

There are pros and cons to both sides of this argument having a low cb skiller can save time and stop food hogs, while having a higher level person makes moving through the rooms faster and makes killing the various monsters easier, so I'm just going to agree with both ;) But I don't base my decision of who to dng with on cb Lvl alone, everyone has something to offer. So I just creep on their skills, then I decide ;P But if I don't feel like waiting I just join one and hope I don't land up with a bunch of idiots. But towards the actual topic, dungeoneering is a crap skill, but a great minigame :P The rewards are great and it can be fun with friends. Jagex definitely needs to remove the ridiculous doors (the ones that require a higher level than any of your group can pot to) and increase XP for soloing (like for actually completing the dungeon [killing all monsters, opening doors, etc.] not for rushers) And also change the charm drop rate, I've gotten like 4 Blue Charms in small dungeons without seeing any other type, which makes no sense.

-.- we need to do a skype call on this topic.. theres too many ideas going around and i could probably write a book on how your views are flawed creepy =/ buttttt since im getting post count ^.^ ill keep going

IF you have someone thats just dedicated to helping out on the skills side than youve got wasted combat levels on the 130+ if you have them... If youve got a lvl 3 thats dedicated to that skilling than he's lowering the combat of all the monsters..

Also someone said something about killing all the monsters in a dungeon? My team does because it gives better experience.. and also even with 99 defense if someone doesnt clean all the rooms.. there is gonna be alot more deaths and damage done to the team than if you just cleared all the rooms.

Your teams must not have much team work... l2call piles man.. it takes what...1 minute to clear a room? thats well worth the xp gained for cleaning them all out.

and who says it doesnt make enough of a difference? i wanna see calculations plox?

lol seriously... About the only thing needed in dg is potions for door or sometimes food. Seriously making potions doesn't take a dedicated person, just don't be dumb about where you plant the seeds lmao. And food? The store has plenty, not like you're spending your money on anything else. Cool I could be greeted at base with a pile of food because of a skiller... but if the team actually had teamwork there would already be a pile at base regardless from that you get in drops. Of course it's unrealistic to get a team that aren't selfish assholes when playing with randoms so there is likely no food pile. Luckily for you you can burn that tier 10 log you cut, buy your food and cook it in under 30 seconds and run to the portal where hopefully the people were at least smart enough to put the ggs at the boss. Thankfully that always happens even with randoms. There is honestly no need to dedicate people to skills because the required skilling aspect of dungeoneering should only add <1 minute to the time if you aren't doing it wrong.

As for killing all the monsters... yeah you get more experience but clearing dead ends or rooms that only lead to dead ends and such is not worth it... not like for every monster you kill you get a substantial xp bonus.

And the skill forces you to team up with random people. Why are you criticizing the teams that creepy has gotten stuck with for having lack of teamwork when one of his arguments is he doesn't want to have to be on those teams if he wants to train it. XD I don't even know what calling piles means.. like what getting a night spider and being like "I CALL SSH LOL" and just calling the food from a drop? Well see the problem is not many random people are going to care that you called it and I certainly won't. I take food if I need it, just because you called it is irrelevant.
With good team work there should be a supply of food at base just from drops anyways.

Asking for calculations isn't the greatest idea. See, you now invite me to ask you for your calculations. You can't just be like "This is right and you can't prove it wrong unless you have calculations," when you don't have anything backing up what you think. XD
But I've already said this and I hope it counts enough for calculations:
For the level 3 to bring down the difficulty of the monsters enough to equal the equivalent of the lost 130:
The difficulty must be lowered to the equivalent of the damage the 130 would deal in addition to the damage the 130 would take as well as removing 1/5 of the monsters.
That is a lot to happen, I realllllllllllllly doubt it does. And I already explained above why the potions they make and such wouldn't even make up for the loss at all.

I hate trying to find a group for dungeoneering and having some person under level 80 being like "please let me join look at my stats!!!!" Well cool your non combat stats are high but so are the rest of the people in the group so... just a random aside lol.

Um just a quick note, opening all rooms (dead end or not) gets you more XP lol

I never said anything about not opening rooms I said it's not worth it to clear dead end and dead end headed rooms.

It means when you enter a room you call out "mage" or whatever you want to be piled and everyone should attack the thing you called.

The idea is sound and in other games it works. However i point chris back to your earlier point;

These idiots i get don't listen half the time. So calling for a pile is useless.

We seem to be going in circles i don't understand whats so hard to understand about this.

A level 130>a level 3

YOU already argued that a level 3 will lower the monsters level. We've already said it doesn't lower it by enough to justify a level 3 over a level 130. I say it doesn't make enough difference. Me and every other person in that game that wont accept low levels into our team. We've tried it before and it's been a bigger struggle and a slow march towards the end of the floor.

As for killing all the monsters. Seriously you must spend 6 hours on a floor. The exp you get for killing the monsters is tiny. You kill to open GD, you kill if theres a lot in a room. If theres 1 or 2 in a room or it's a dead end you ignore it.

And again: YOU DON'T NEED A LEVEL 3 TO SKILL. Perhaps if you didn't kill *everything* in the dungeon and you was smart about training the skill you'd not waste all your food. I've yet to come across a low level in a dungeoneering group who out skills me. And even if he did that alone wouldn't justify his presence on my team above a level 130.

Lets say. For the fun of it. That we've got a group of four level 130s. With "like not even 1000 total" there not about to go OH **** GUYS LETS FIND OURSELVES A LEVEL 3.

NOW THEN I'm not going to explain why there not going to do that because this doesn't seem to be sinking in and I'll only be repeating myself for the 6000th time and while some are enjoying padding there post count believe it or not i couldn't give a monkeys about mine. So ask yourself this question:

Why are the four level 130s not going to find themselves a level 3 skill pure to group up with?

Go on. If you get it right I'll give you a sweety. The answers been posted in this topic time and time again so it shouldn't be too hard plus it's multiple choice.
