I'm not a Crysis fan, but this Multiplayer Beta for Crysis 2 came out today and I'm finding it a lot of fun, here is a link to download it = http://www.ea.com/crysis-2/1/demo

I'm TFolkins on it, so add me if you already have it, if you are planning to get it, or if you just want to try it out. It's available until 13th so lots of time to get to Rank 10 (which to my knowledge is the highest rank you can get to). I'm already Rank 9 so after I reach 10, I'm going to be going for all of the attachment unlocks, should give me something to do. :P

i don't know if i will get it. i remember playing crysis 1 and honestly i loved the sunrise scene. nothing else beats it, it just looked completely awesome. but looking at the new pictures... i just don't see them giving me that wow factor again. the pictures doesn't look 100% awesome. and still, i am more worried if they will screw the PC port again.

Oh, and GameSpy for multiplayer.

Still worried?

Biggest disappointment ever.
Graphics options are limited to three cryptic settings of "Gamer", "Advanced", and "Hardcore".
No way to turn off the HUGE amounts of motion blur.
Gamespy.
CoD Gameplay.

Even after they said they would make Crysis 2 with "PC in mind", they threw that out the window and did another cheap-o console port. And what is this "Press Start"? Is that next to my "Any" key?

Only thing I liked was the GUI and the menu music.

@trekkie not sure if you noticed, but Crysis 2 has been leaked a few weeks back.. Pre-final version, but still.

I never got the hype around the first. Very pretty but the gameplay was mediocre.

Not bothered with the second - I don't need to. I've seen the gameplay footage and know it's a COD clone.

well duh! you could actually manipulate the beta tester version to be able to play online. however, since it was a tester version, the problems with the game were to be some freezing up during loading and audio was not in sync.

Ok, I finally remembered to give it a shot.

Most annoying thing? You can't change **** for settings. I can't even play it on my laptop due to this bastardization of the video settings. I don't mind putting settings lower if it means I can play, but I'd bet even 'gamer' has AA and a few other things on that I can't do with a game of this graphics quality.

Given the requirements, I should be able to play. I played through Crysis on lower settings perfectly fine, getting ~30 fps was OK since I could actually play. But this is *******. Can't believe you can't adjust the settings.

Watching TotalBiscuits review of it more than enough for me to see what it was like, certainly didn't look very good.
