They need to work on all the Bots in the game. this would bring rwt's back.
they can't handle 1 problem, why make a 2nd.

What is the one problem?

Eh, all this does sound pretty fishy, but I'm voting on all my characters. Maybe they are serious about it. It's definitely too early for an April's Fool joke. Really wonder what this whole vote is about. I mean, on the one hand, they pretty much eliminated RWT now. I figure if they ever want to come back, it's still going to be hard to pull off still. This is just a really weird thing for Jagex to do. Hope they are slightly serious. :|

ABOUT TIME THIS HAPPENS!!!

I think the trade limit should definitely come back, as for wild... i think it should come back but only on certain worlds because I don't want to go do something in the wild just to get 2 hitted by some guy. I believe Jagex is handling RWT in a different way, so I don't think that will be too much of a problem.

Thank you Jagex.

The update in 2008 never did stop RWT. The people who did that moved to powerleveling and generating the income on the account of the person who wants it instead. These methods can be detected by watching the IPs used to access the account to see if a bunch of accounts are frequently going to a particular set of IPs and then going back to their original owner, but Jagex also had this type of detection in game for unrestricted trades before the update as far as I know.

Unrestricting trade again would benefit the regular players more than the current state of trying to stop something which can't be stopped. It is just annoying when you try to buy something off the GE and you can't because they don't let you buy it for whatever price you want. They don't even have to fully unrestrict regular trade, they could just remove all limits from the GE and it would (in my opinion) solve most of the problems they introduced with the GE update. People could try to buy or sell for whatever price they wanted. The person who has the highest price offered for buying would get their items first, and the person with the lowest selling price would sell their items first. Without a defined minimum and maximum for each item, and without each item having daily trade limits, it is harder for a single person to manipulate the market because trade volumes would be larger.

I also liked the wilderness a lot better, I didn't pk very often but even treasure trails in the wild were a lot more thrilling before because you wouldn't know if you'd run into anyone. Revenants are just annoying and are not a suitable replacement.

As for the vote, it looks like a poor publicity stunt. I am unsure as to what they are going to do and it doesn't make me excited for it because of that. Also, why now after almost 3 years?

I vote no.

Jagex will probably implement something insidious in order to bring free trade and the wildy back. It really doesn't make sense for them to offer this after 3 years. They're up to something.

I dread the outcome of this poll.

In truth, all they are doing is asking. If this was a convincing poll, they should put up options for how it should be implemented or realized. Most of Jagex plans for implementing something are quite insidious and unpleasing. So, hopefully they will tell us what they plan to do rather than just carry out a plan they think the players will "like."

you're all over-thinking this. it doesnt' matter that its vague or conspicuous or any of that crap. its a petition. if enough, and by enough they clearly state that even a million probably isn't "enough", people sign it THEN they'll work on the details. its not like if they get enough demand they're going to scrap the GE bounty worlds, and most of the other functions they've added in the last 2-3 years. they're not emo crybabies ***** off at all their fanbase's QQing. they're not going to make a rage-decision. Jagex is a fairly legitimate company. dont' treat them like they're a bunch of sneaking backstabbing scoundrels, or idiots that don't know what kind of consequences making an announcement like this would cause. have a little faith in the company you've wasted all your time on for the last decade.

930,00 votes so far, and still a good while to go. Things might be looking up for this.

I think they are somewhat bringing it back but to a limit. Like maybe you can only give out so much Mil a month depending on how long the two people have been friends. Also, maybe restrict how much you can give out by putting a limit per month. As for the pk I have no idea.

I realised in time and did not vote so I am a NO.

If it had been a proper poll with a yes/no for the various options I might have voted Yes to removing trade limit and No to Wildy.

I am happy for them to restore the Old Wildy in a limited number of worlds (the PvP worlds now) so that I don't have to go there.

One problem they will run into is that a number of quests produced since closing of Wildy now require you to go into the wilderness, penguin hunting frequently occurs there, so free-for-all wildy would need a lot of rework.

The idea is quite strong that this is a bid to get into the Guiness Book of Records with the largest petition in a short time. Watch that space.

I don't think they are going to have any restrictions. At least it didn't sound that way, because it wouldn't be the "old wildy" and "free trade". They will probably just have to take their regulation as a loss.
