http://www.cinemablend.com/games/StarCr ... ion-Is-60-23857.html

price for regular is 60 bucks

price for collector's is 99. prices may go down when deals start going out near the end.

and remember this does not include the other 2 expansions.

most of the CE stuff isn't that great for me.

Ah..once again this has Activision all over it. What worry me more is there marketplace thats going to allow them to sell content that's going to really screw people over i think.

I'd love to be mad but let's think rationally here. The price of PC games has remained static for years. Factor in those years of inflation and we're well overdue for a price rise.

I think if you look at other forms of entertainment (music, films) they also remain fairly static. It's not like they charged an extra fiver to see Avatar just cause it was more expensive than most films to make.

Now video games are still growing i admit but starcraft 2 isn't an impressive looking game, the tech behind it isn't all that amazing. It's not cutting edge. It'll run on most PCs so if a game like Crysis can sell for £30 and they don't have an MMO with 11 million subscribers lining there pockets every month if it doesn't sell well I'm pretty sure blizzard can turn a profit at the standard price.

Which is fine really. That's the aim i suppose. But lets not pretend it's something it's not. It's greed. It's they know it'll sell by the millions so there getting as much for it as they can. Then there going to ***** out the market place they set up as well and sponge the game for all its worth without really giving a **** about the customers.

I don't care how much they sell it for, provided that they don't take away the ability for players to create their own custom maps.

There he lay now, sick, miserable, filled with ill-will towards himself; full of hatred for the impulses toward life, full of suspicion of all that was still strong and happy. It's Blizzard we are talking about here. They constantly deliver good quality products to the market and never disappoint. With newly increased development costs I wouldn't get angry over $10 increase.

I figure $60 is the base price most companies on new, decent games. No one is really going beyond that or really under it. I'll probably wait for at least the expansions to come out and the price to go down. Hopefully, they will come out in a set and be a cheap price together, but that probably won't be for a while. Anyways, I'm in no rush. :D

I think that the Collectors edition needs some more things in it. Sure it has the booklet, but it honestly doesn't make me want to spend a hundred bucks on it.

It would be cool if the SE came with things like mini hydo's or Zelots, that I would pay extra for!
