The numbers for the draconic visage.

I've been browsing the forums, and have seen a few questions about the draconic visage. Me and a few others have a thread in the Official Runescape forums where we have been keeping track of thousands of kills, trying to find the average drop rate. If you would like to see the entire thread, the QFS is: 17-18-367-58709495.

Here is the basic information:

Total Visage Drops: 18

Total Killcount: 116,631

Thread Drop Rate: 1/6500

Those Drop Rates were rounded to the nearest hundred.

- Individual Dragon Drop Rates -

Black Dragons: 1/8700 (52,109 Kills, 6 Visages)
Steel Dragons: 1/2500 (15,068 Kills, 6 Visages)
KBD: 1/3900 (3901 Kills, 1 Visage)
Iron Dragons: 1/ 8600 (34,265 Kills, 4 Visages)
Mithril Dragons: 1/4900 (4886 Kills, 1 Visage)
Skeletal Wyverns: N/A (6402 Kills, 0 Visages)

this actually helped me out because i heard some outrageous numbers on drops...

I'm pretty sure those are just statistics he's gather based on other peoples kills.

But it's nice to know I haven't completely passed any of the average rates. XD

Still pretty small numbers statistically. But it's definitely a good start. Keep up the gathering and soon there can be a much better idea for players to go by.

what are visages? i dont really understand what this is about... is it a drop/kill ratio for rare items?

This topic is about a certain rare item called the Draconic Visage. It can be attached to an anti-dragonfire shield and made into an excellent shield defensively. It's a member item/drop worth 34.8m right now. Needless to say (but I'll say it anyway), it's a good drop. This topic is about how people are trying to keep track of the drop ratios of the visage for different monsters.

nice scale im amazed how rarely theblack dragons are suppossed to drop them,compared to steel dragons.I would think te higher level the less number of kills you need for a rare drop,cause duh! i's harder to kill..

Eiher that or steel dragons are a higher level.(i really don't know :roll:

Obviously not. He would be level 138 with above 80m ranged exp if he did. These are probably the kill count of people with their drops mixed together to deduce the visage rating drop. :wink:

Very nice indeed. Seems like Steel Dragons are the obvious choice. Although Irons are not bad either

That's quite a few kills there, yet still the numbers seem inadequate due to the sheer enormity of the infinitesimal drop rate of the visage. But thanks, this really brings into perspective how hard it is to get a visage.
