What the hell is wrong with using an iPod for watching video? This is obviously just another sort of useless invention catering to the super-rich.

they already have some, but it's not clear.

i saw these at macworld last time they were in SF. they were pretty cool, you actually felt like you were at your own little theater. the price isn't too bad. i think the most expensive one was around 300 or so

That's pretty cool. If they could just make them looker cooler, wireless, or more discreet, then I would probably get a pair.

I think it'd be pretty cool, but until I could see them in person I wouldn't buy them. I'd be worried about the video quality and eye strain, but I do think we'll see these in production in the next 5 years or so. The iPod glasses that Trekkie posted about I've seen elsewhere, though I haven't tried any.
