No cause you won't be able to afford the cape even when you get it. You'll get killed easily with an air staff and no runes and armour. How do you plan to do it though?

Don't do that. If you want to do a more faster and cheaper way then Alch at the Mage Training Arena. Not only do you get the normal amount of xp by using the spell you also get bonuses. It's how I got to 70mage really fast.

i am going to do
since i don't have the pattience to go 99 at once i am going to rc as a break and make some cash...in 2 months ill have 99 mage (maybe if i don't quit)

If you want to alch random things, I'd suggest the ruby rings in Zanaris. You lose a LOT less than alching yew longbows.

yeah i know...but you can't afk doing that

makes magic much boring...i prefer to watch television and alch yew longs

i dont know how afk "string jewerly" is but when u get to that lvl try doing that. it costs some but its like a combo kinda..

you buy or make gold pendents..string them...then alc them

also i dont know how much of a loss it is but its an idea.

That'll cost quite a bit. (Also amulets not pendents

) Unstrung gold amulets cost same as strung amulets, so you have to pay for the runes. The amulets cost 234 gp I think, and when you alch the strung ones, you get 210 gp each. So you lose more than 400gp for each amulet.

You can do air orbs, I haven't tried myself, but after seeing guides about it, you can make money and get 60k magic xp / hour.

If you don't care about the money, then I might say go for it. If it was me, I would build up extra money first and then spend it. I hate getting rid of all my money just for one skill. Leaves me with a good skill perhaps, but no money to do anything immediately afterwords.

I say no because 99 magic is overrated most people only use magic for teleportation and killing things here or their and their are no spells that 99 is needed. Anyways it is your choice if you love the skill get it and even if you use money and do high alching you will still get money so you will not loose lots of gp.

No you shouldn't make sure when your done you still have about 1m so you can the essentials like the actual cape of achievement!
