LOTS of bacon. And cheese. And some nicely toasted buns.

I live in a very German city so the handmade Oktoberfest sausages are amazing here, I'd chose them but I picked hamburgers when I was thinking of the plastic supermarket variety of hotdog.

Hamburger for sure. I really never eat hot dogs anymore ever since I found out that the casing for a hot dog is actually small intestines. :-&

Err.. No..

You merely asked us which of the two we liked best, and we're answering. It's not like anybody can rationally state a hamburger is better than a hot dog or vice versa. We're just stating our opinions, the same as most of the threads in here.

What about the other way around? Burgers are easier and better to "customize."

Oh, and Slimppu, both hotdogs and hamburgers were created in Europe.

Irrelevant. Americans still consume them the most.

Hamburgers are pretty much one of our national foods, so I can see why.

And Germany consumes the most sausage, by the way.
