Runescape Crafting- Need Help To Level Up

My crafting level is currently 40.
What would be the best way for me to get 55?
I need 55 to craft a Slayer Helmet (Yay!)
I have about 800k to spend.

I would craft hard leather bodies probably, I did them til 63, or, if you want, you can craft emerald or sapphire bracelets. choice is yours. (i'd do braces}

If you're a member, I'd suggest making a daily run to Yanille and Catherby to get free/cheap supplies for making glass. You can get a pretty good amount of experience for very cheap (2gp/seaweed (80/day) and free sand) if you've done A Hand in the Sand quest. If you've got the time, you could try to kill Green Dragons and cash in the bones for hides, and tan and craft the hides you do get for experience.

At that level I spun a whole bunch of flax becuase it's nice money and also decent xp. Other ways may be faster though.

With Power's method, suggesting everything buys and sells at mid price, I have to spin 8351 Flax to bowstring making 1.2 mil.
I'm going to try it

Have fun, thats probably about 12 hours of spinning I'd say.

Yeah flax and bowstrings are good, decent xp at your level and some good cash. Have fun spinning them all though...

make molten glass till you are able to make orbs, then make orbs till you can make battlestaves. then make battlestaves and sell/alch. you'll be glad you did in the end ;o

This was the way I did my crafting, too. But all the other ways sound much better. This one takes a little time and in the end you end up with just a bunch of hard leather bodies. I only do this because I'm an f2p player. I'd go the other ways.

when I was crafting, I just spun flax so I would be leveling up while making money.

You could make tiaras. That would cost you about 500k from level 40 to 55.

Do flax till 54, and earth battlestaffs till 55 or just do flax for 1 more level.

Gold amulets are good and you can sell them at max easily. 35gp per amulet is not much, but it adds up. And it's 40k per hour.

When I worked on crafting, I would just spin flax. I would get money, and exp. It's pretty boring, though.
