Worst Runescape Messup?

I think my worst mess-up was from a scam. I was buying yews to merchant and I was buying from a player. They put up the logs and I was going to buy for 200k or so. I didn't notice until after the trade they were willows (noted). #-o

I was not paying attention, but I was very careful afterward. Still wish it never happened, though.

^Same thing kind of for me.

In summer 06 (I think around then lol) I was fletching for money or XP + money (one or the other), so I was buying 2000 magics. Magics were around 1100 ea but it wasn't hard to get them for 1000 ea if you had patience in Seers' bank. Anyways, the magic log inventory image didn't have sparkles on it back then and they looked very similiar to willow logs. So I finally find someone selling them, put up 2M, he puts up the 2000 magics and switches them for willows, and I quickly accepted without paying attention since I had been standing there for 15 minutes (not long but I'm inpatient XD) and really didn't want to wait any longer.

My main messup would have to be not playing on one account for the first few years I played. But other than that, I haven't really done anything too bad besides buying dragon boots when they came out for 5m and dieing at kq and losing firecape and 5m

Well, back when I was f2p and didn't have much, I went pking on one of the pk worlds. I had won a couple fights, so I decided to take on another person, but me being the stupid person I am, I completely forgot about my character pking, so I starting to go to another website, and when I came back I was dead, and lost full rune.

Well, i was doing the Barbarian training and I went into the whirlpool and died, i lost full veracs. Nothing that I would care about now but back then Verac's was all I had.

Probably Going into the wilderness with a corrupt battleaxe. That was my first ever corrupt "peice".......
I went into 46 wilderness with who i thought were reliable freinds.....

The clan i was in at the time told me not to go in without them.........You guys can pretty much guess what happened next :lol:

Does messup = getting lured and losing all the good things i had... COz that was stupid but... i now gained experianced sice what ever has happened to me...

When i first got members i was around lvl 60 or so i made bowstrings and ended up buying full sara. I forget how much it was back then but a pretty nickle for a new player. I was doing a quest and got poisoned and didnt have any tele runes on karamaja. When i got down to 10 health my ring of life teled me to Falador, of course i lagged and when it came threw i was in lummy.

When I was still F2P, I was heading down to the Moss Giants in the Varrock Sewers. I happened to notice someone with a Santa Hat, so I said "Nice hat

" to which he replied "I'm quitting, do you want it?" I traded him, and he ended up logging out...Less than 20 seconds later, he comes back, and I trade him again and recieve the hat.

I knew it was valuable, but I wasn't so familiar with the forums or fansite forums for reference prices (at this point, Santa hats were roughly 200k). As I was cutting Yew trees with the hat on, someone came up to me and wanted to buy the hat. I took some advice from a friend (and this was the messup) and ended up getting full adamant (t) plus a Rune Longsword. Turns out Adamant (t) isn't exactly the easiest thing to sell, and I had it sitting in my bank depreciating in value while the lucky guy who I traded enjoyed the appreciation of the Santa hat's value. I didn't end up selling the set of armor till I was P2P a few months later, at which point I had theoretically lost around 500k+.

EDIT - Just remembered...I sold my Saradomin Godsword before going to China for 450-ish Crystal Seeds. At the time, the GE database had quite a nice price, and it looked to be a decent trade. Nothing but nice high prices... Of course, I couldn't sell the seeds until I lost roughly 20M while they sat in my bank. D'OH!

Probably my biggest messup in runescape would be my constant deaths in the old wildy. Back before I was really into combat so was pretty low level. Went out thinking I was a big shot only to find myself in fally 3 minutes later lol. #-o
