So im really missing a place on this forum for me. Im a random person and love to post random things, but lately i have no place to do it. Im not saying bring the sandbox back but it would be nice to have a place where i can post random pictures and thoughts like below. Being an older member on this forums i would think i was spamming if i post that in Non-Rs media. Id leave it up to the moderators if they feel like putting the effort into watching another forum but make it not for spamming just a lounge, for a bit more laid back atmosphere.

It's already been suggested and turned down in the past. Their logic is that we should be using Non-Rs Related media to post these kind of things and if you have to question whether or not you should be posting it, don't.

You can post your pictures and whatnot in Non-RS media. If it's deemed to have no discussional value we will lock it. The same goes for random things you find on the internet, these can go in in Non-RS Discussion.

The only thing that would warrant a warning is if you were to keep posting the same thing over after we locked a topic.

Don't think of the removal of the sandbox as a removal of the right to post whatever you want; think of it as a removal of the right to spam and flame. ^.^

I think that this is a very good idea as well, Kyle. I too am a random person and would enjoy sharing pictures or other things with people that aren't related to any of the existing forums.

If not Non-RS Media, then there's always RuneWire? Even if you don't play Runescape anymore, you can post just about anything there.

Maybe a sticky should be made for these types of things to be put into. It'd be much easier to police and maybe make it so that people can only post pictures and delete any comments made.

Spam is stupid pointless anoying messages- If something is spam, then it's not something people would want to see in the first place.

Yes, I'm sure no one wants to see a thread everytime you come across a picture you like. But if it was a thread with a collection of things you wanted to share and you added to it, I doubt anyone is going to mind.

The Sandbox, made for spamming/tests, people still got annoyed when people spamed. If people would get annoyed of posting it in Non-RS Media, then they would be annoyed if you posted it in this new forum too. I suppose the difference is that you don't have to go into the new forum if you don't want to, but at the same time you don't have to go into topics if you don't want to too.

As long as you post in the forum you think is correct for a topic, you should be fine. If it needs to be moved or locked, then so be it. Just make sure you don't break the rules and you'll be ok. :wink:
