19th January 2009 - Seers' Village Achievement Diary

How far can you see into the future? The seers in their village foresee mountains of flax, adventurers fishing, cooking and cutting wood, and many other challenges in and around Seers’ Village. Are you virtuous enough to use the Piety prayer? Gather your axe and knife (and bring your best flax-picking fingers), and go see what’s in store for you.

Explore the area and discover all the things you hadn’t noticed before. From Catherby to the Ranging Guild, and as far north as the coal trucks and Sinclair Mansion, this diary should keep you busy, and remind you why this is one of the most popular areas in the members’ world.

When you’ve satisfied the seers with your knowledge of the area, you’ll be rewarded with some handy bonuses: Geoffrey will give you some of his glorious...er...flax, maple trees will reveal some of their secrets to make you that little bit wiser, and you’ll discover a new nimbleness in your fingers when using the spinning wheel.

Summary:
Where to start the Seers’ Village Achievement Diary:

Speak to any seer in the Seers’ Village, Stankers by the coal trucks, or Sir Kay in Camelot.

In other news...

Players can now right-click on previously sent private messages to send another message to the same person. This applies whether split chat is on or off.

The alchemy values of the crystal bow and shield have been reduced. We suggest that you check your ‘items kept on death’ interface before PvPing or entering dangerous areas with combinations of these items, just in case it's not quite what you're expecting if you were to die.

The Slayer ring, combat bracelet and the skills necklace have had their 'delays' removed when operating them.

I had to rate it 3/5. Since I can only do the easy task as I'm a skiller, though I assume that the medium and hard task rewards are a lot better.

Spoiler for Rewards:

The two items which has a red square around it is what you get from the Seers easy task.

Image

The lamp is 1k experience on any skill.
The headress allows you to get 30 free flax a day.

im sry to say man but the rewards for the medium and hard tasks ARE NOT better. well better then the easy tasks... but not by much lol.. the only thing worth doing the tasks are because u want to complete the diary and for the lamps. Other then that the rewards were a epic fail and very low level. Plus the diary it's self was highly low level.. highest thing was 80 fletching but I mean come on who doesn't have that :D

120 flax a day and faster spinning is useless?

Might be, but it'll be less painful to make bowstrings.

I like the rewards, 120 flax a day is decent, it'll add up quickly. Also another thing to do on runescape is always a good thing.

I'm surprised to see no one's touched on the Enhanced Excalibur yet. Considering the relative ease of this diary I think it's worth doing for the upgrade. The new spec is pretty awesome; could come in essentially useful for things like waterfiends and aviansies.

... I do admit the other rewards are a bit cheap though. ;)

Does anyone already know how effective the "more arrows during fletching"-reward is?

Well I give this a 5/5 because I love the achievement diaries. I only completed on easy so far because I have two quests to go on medium lol. I like exploring these towns and the rewards aren't bad either. The free Flax will be nice, probably ill collect my pineapples at the same time as the flax...

4/5, I don't really like diaries but made me get 75 Firemaking which is good. Some of the rewards are poor but the excalibur is good for fighting.

Not the best Achievement diary, The reward of 120 flax is alright, could help in future money making schemes, just like the buckets of sand from Hand in the Sand quest. It was fun doing the diary with Owen and getting him more achievement diary rewards. 4/5
