The Party Hats

Today all party hats dropped by a rather steep number, why do you think some reasons for this would be?
Any suggestions?
Maybe something to do with item lending?
Feel free to discuss.

eh i see what u are saying. but i have to dissagree with that satement about the deprsion in the us. i dont think that we are going to go that low for our economy but i think that we are going to get fairly close.

Well they dropped today, more suddenly than usual, if im not mistaken....maybe....maybe jagex released their death grip on the prices?

Huh.. that's odd. Seems like purple will be going down more so than the rest within the next month. I'll take a wild guess and say lending already brought the prices way down ... maybe Jagex noticed that every noob and their mom was running around with party hats (purple particularly) thinking they're the greatest thing since sliced bread. Not true of course, but no doubt it's happened.

With all the other real expensive stuff out there it wouldn't be suprising to see people lose interest in the party hats. But eh, what do I know about the RS economy?

Just when you think that you have worked it out they do something crazy like this. and stuff you up . Hopefully it wont effect other holiday items but i don't think it will as H'ween masks are going pretty good atm.

Are you kidding?! Over, well over, half of the banks have gone bankrupt! (Due to people investing in houses and then running away with a debt over their head). The whole economy is run on borrowed money and you say US is not in depression =.="

About the party hats though, no idea. Didn't even know about it. Probably merchers doing the same with what they did with the godswords and everything.

The party hat drop is promising. I would agree some of it would have to do with lending, but there are probably some undercover jagex reason we'll never know. Everyone and there mom has a purple phat now? Hmm, I guess I haven't noticed, I wouldn't mind having one.

It usually drops before Holidays then sky rockets like a week before so I wouldn't worry about it.

I almost wonder if JaGeX secretly has an infinite stock of phats and if a player buys from the GE they just get one that JaGeX "generates". There's no way we can really find out because the people that have enough money to buy them already have one(s). Not too many people go from regular to 600m rich and buy a phat. At least not enough to make it seem fishy... Cuz you would think that phats would prolly be so scarce now that they'd become even more expensive. I mean c'mon they were dropped on ONE DAY more than 5 years ago...

Could be another moneysink scheme?

Oh wow. The new flexibility. Sweet! It got annoying trading with my f2p noob friend only 3k at a time.

Anyway

I'm happy phat prices are lowering. I think that they are way too high anyway, and I wouldn't mind a lot of people having them if they lowered the price. I don't care about showing off money and stuff, I just think they look pretty cool.
