Here, I work under harsh conditions for SGD$4/hr. That's roughly USD$2-3/hr.

You just laze around and get your $7/hr paycheck. Jerk.

Well in case ya havent heard, the price of living in America has gone up. So really as teh prices of things go up, we need to get paid more.

$7 isn't really very much. I get £5 per hour, which is a bit more than $10, and I'm 17.

As for the amount of work I do - I never get any rest while I'm working (except in breaks) - that is, there is always something to do; but I wouldn't say it's that hard. Sometimes takes a little brainpower, though.

I would have liked to work in a computer shop of some sort.

I'm 17, too. Basically, all I do at work is put stuff on shelves and help people. But most of the time, there's nothing to do. It's not like I choose to slack off; that's just how it turns out. Plus, I'm looking to get a better and more serious job during/after college so this is just to pay for my car and clothes and any other essentials a 17 year old needs.

but anyway i currently dont have a job. my band is working on our album atm and thats keeping me busy enough as it is. once thats over me and my friend were thinkin about starting a little local business thing were we like install car audio, neon, trunk layouts. idk if that will ever go thru but weve talked about it alot, and i think it would be cool if we do do it. (ive already installed a layout of neon thru-out the interior of my car and i got somemore for xmas so ill prolly work on that sometime this week.)

and if that job idea doesnt work, one of the guitar players from our band and i are going to try to DJ some local parties. I got the equipment, and hes got connections so i think were set there.

GST was raised again last year, and pretty much everything gone up except salary.

Yes, sounds like lots of work.

Seems pretty cool and a great job, seems like you will enjoying it.
I should soon consider learning more on the process of getting a job, careers class didn't teach me much.
