Some type of creature to compete with other MMORPGs, which would, in effect, become a mount

You could then utilize this mount to bring you somewhere without teleporting.

I do know that Lunar will become quite a bit more popular (stock up on those astrals

) due to the ability to "heal other" or "cure other".

Lets see, what else...Similar to the imps that are catchable through hunter, an NPC that will bank items for you. "I Summon you, Butler!" (Wow, that sounded too pokemon-ish

)

An NPC to save you from certain death, possibly blocking the critical blow while sacrificing its life for your own. This could aid in the effects of a Ring of Life, and whatever the enchanted diamond necklace does :wink:

SOmething like an eagle preferably, fly around and peck out peoples eyes, or a hawk.

If it was an eagle though, It would have to be a blad eagle they look well good.

Well considering Jagex's new BTS this week gave us another new creature to think about, I've thought about what the three monsters we can assume are already in summoning - what will they do?

Wolpertinger - It was shown in the summoning wallpaper with it's wings outstretched, so I reckon it will either "follow" you flying, or will be used to get to high places or transport goods to the bank.
Spirit Wolf - A typical combat summon? I've not really got any ideas for a wolf considering they're already quite common in runescape. Though the fact that it is a spirit might enable it to walk through walls and pick thing up for you?
Dread Fowl - An evil chicken! Or an evil rooster? Maybe a 'joke' monster just like the evil chicken is a 'joke' random. Not particularly funny, but there needs to be a level one thing in all skills right?

a pheonix to help you burn logs faster(you just drop and the pheonix sets them on fire and you get exp still)

a mole to assist you in power mining (aka you swing less for the ores[would assist in getting back 1 hit irons and granite])

maybe summon a spirit of yourself to help you kill monsters for X ammount of time(time= skill lvl+combat level-(att+str+defx3)

seems good to me

and i just pulled that equation out my **** XD

Otherwise, I'd like young dragons for firemaking (pheonixes are for flaming death and melting metals, not fireplaces), horses (duh) for traveling, maybe a type of food monster like the Culinaromancer summons to heal you (Agrith-nana), and ... I dunno, a sort of Saradomin-blessed wolf that digs holes to bury bones for you after you kill something automatically, but you only get 80% exp. That would rock.

Otherwise, I agree, something like a beaver for woodcutting or mole for mining would be cool.

I say pheonix could be like the superheat ore spell and turn ores into bars for you.

How about a zamorak bear that can attack stuff for you or help you fight.

How about a porcupine to help with ranged? It would shoot out it's quills and impale your opponent! :twisted:

A turtle to help to defend you against monsters?
A squirrel to help gather seeds from trees?
A magpie to gather rings from trees?
A magpie/raccoon to help with thieving?
