Even though Modern Warfare 2 was released just months ago, Treyarch is announcing call of duty 7 for November of 2010.

Confirmed by activison to have a vietnam them, I believe any call of duty following up Modern Warfare 2, a complete and utter hit, needs to be just as good if not better in order to grab gamers attention.

I myself would rather have a futureistic world war three setting, set in 2100.

What do you guys think?

I'd personally like to see a Revolutionary War Call of Duty.

But then again, there were like 3 guns total, and it took at least a minute to reload the musket. :s

Yeah, that would be cool

But if that were to work, they'd need to speed up the loading time
:P

How repetitive... Cod 4 was amazing, CoD WaW was a copy 'n' paste from CoD 4, MW2 was okay but I was expecting better.

They don't have a life anymore if they make another CoD game, espiecially only a year after the previous one.
Wait a few year and impress me with an epic game of the death that kill. Pretty sure it's going to be a Copy 'N' Past from MW2...Would be pretty disapointing.

Treyarch has been working on this new CoD game since WaW came out. It's not like they whipped up a new CoD game in a year, lol. The way the CoD games come out is IW, Treyarch, IW, Treyarch. They're two different developers, and IW makes all of the even number ones while Treyarch makes all of the odd number ones, if that makes any sense.

Personally I'd hate a futuristic CoD, I like the modern warfare theme. WW2 sucks.

I think they should stop. There are way to many CoD games and the more recent ones were released too quickly in succession to be to my taste. I don't mind if it's a couple years before the next game. Slow down, make a good game, then wait until people want to move on. I think they have gone way to fast in the series and it's time to slow down and let the other games work their magic. But, if they were to make one, I'd be interested to see what themes and wars they could focus on, either old or new. That's what I'd like to see if anything. But I think the trend is to move forward now and not back. Still, it's possible and should be considered. But my overall concern is that there are enough CoD games for the time being. SLOW DOWN!!!

Whatever it will be like, it should be a major hit, unless they take something out that makes everyone angry. Like no deticated servers for the xbox 360 (since there are so deticated servers on the pc. :/) or PS3. That might make them be hated.

The thing about 12 year olds is they follow trends. It doesn't matter if the games good or not it's the "in" thing so they buy it. Once the call of duty trend gets old and tired; And it will because Activision is doing what activision always does and is whoring out the franchise while making little to no changes to the actual game. But once it does get old they'll move on to the next in thing and COD will slowly die and bugger off.

Sadly it'll take a while. Guitar hero is starting to go that route all the kids are losing interest at last. EA learnt this lesson the hard way. And you can see it happening with Activision today just look at there Tony Hawk series.

But yes it goes without saying theres going to be another call of duty. And no doubt they'll try to sqeeze every penny out of you for it because paying the standard £40 isnt enough. As for Treyarch working on this game since WAW I'm not so sure about that Treyarch released COD4 on the wii last year and it was built from the ground up for the wii it wasn't just a ******* port. Chances are they started working on it after that after all they use IW engine so it doesn't take as long.

I see no reason to buy any more Call of Duty games, especially one from Treyarch. I haven't enjoyed a single Treyarch CoD.
I will never buy another Call of Duty game that includes the grenade launcher, which basically means that I will never buy another CoD, because every CoD release includes about a hundred new projectile explosives and new reasons to camp (40 killstreak - death star).

There he lay now, sick, miserable, filled with ill-will towards himself; full of hatred for the impulses toward life, full of suspicion of all that was still strong and happy. Well, you won't have to worry about a new modern warfare coming out soon since IW isn't working on a CoD game. Instead, they are working on a new IP.
