Which do you prefer- the mac or the pc? I enjoy the mac for editing and recording sounds and for editing images, where as the pc I enjoy for msuic, games, and anything else.

What do you guys think?

Right now I'm about half and half.

Mac: web development, programming, unixy tasks, video
Windows: Gaming, MSN

An operating system is an operating system. Let's not have this topic resort to firing garbage back and forth ;)

i.... agree with shane. though i think video is pretty nice on a pc too.

as for me though im a pc ;) microsoft has everything i want or need. zune, windows, the whole sha-bang.

and yea its nothing to really fight over really as shane says. It fully depends on what the user wants out of their unit

PC for everything else I can't do on my macbook.

PC 100%. I'd never buy a Mac.

Well, the only problem is I haven't touched a Mac in ages. When I was growing up, that's all we had and I was very proficient with it. Now, I get lost every time I touch the dang thing. Anyways, I'm more of a PC guy, but probably only because I don't use Macs much. I do know that Mac has great laptops and in the future, I might switch over. But for now, I'll stick with Windows 7 and my PC. They are great for everything that I've seen (except for maybe iTunes of Quicktime, of course :P).

PC. I use an iMac at the design place I work at and it's horribly inefficient.

To be fair though, I don't really like using their PCs either. They need better mice (I take my own because I can't stand the mighty mouse, for example) and a good mouse allows for exceptionally enhanced productivity. The software itself is also setup quite badly so I guess it just shows that if I had the chance to do that myself with a Mac it could be a different story. Difficult to reformat when you have so much work to take care of though.

Nothing compared to the PCs at my school however. Bloated pieces of crap. -_-
