is Jagex listening!??

i have been wondering does jagex been listing to the show. think about it the top hat thing. AND the things in the show that brad and shane say jagex sometime comes out with things i heard in the show a wile ago.

It's hard to say if they do or not. I personally think they don't, but then before a week ago from their twitter, I would have said they didn't look at the forums either, so anything is possible.

No because jagex isn't a person. ;D

Employees? Prrobably not. Maybe though. Only reason i can think of them doing so is to get feedback on the game and even then using the forums is a much better way of doing so.

I'm sure that some mods must listen to the podcast because they are probably curious about podcasts and other media regarding the game they create.

Not really sure if they listen to the podcast, but I'm pretty sure they check the forums to make sure things are fine and didn't break any Jagex rules.

Well, their employees largely play RS themselves on their leisure so unless there is no fansite association rule within the company, some employees may find R!U interesting. There might be Jagex Staff who have signed up to the forums or other fansites' forums. Who knows, it's not like they're going to reveal that they are Jagex Staff if only because no one would believe them.

But are they listening to R!U as an official part of their work or actively discussing it/suggesting things heard on it? I doubt it.
Even with the forum watch on Twitter, I doubt employees officialy read the forums anyways. I think they're just going into the RS discussion forum on sites and looking for an active topic that is "interesting" by title and that has a few pages of replies.
Maybe they would officially look at any thread that seems to be a suggestion, though.

no i mean like to get advice like i bet there is a team that goes out and searches the web to find feed back and things they could fix about the game and this is the ONLY rs podcast so not that hard to find.

Correction, this is NOT the only Runescape Podcast, there are others, All you need to do is search up Runescape in iTunes and you will get a couple. RSBandBUpdate! has been the longest of them all and I know that Zybez has a podcast now. Only done around 7 shows already.

And there is another popular podcast besides R!U and Zybez20 that I can't recall.

RSE had one going for a while, but it looks like they stopped last year.

If it was the only one, I'm not sure that necessarily means they would use it- might not find it worth there time. They have to go through 50 minutes of content they may not care about for 10 minutes of useful stuff (to them). If they spent that hour reading suggestion forums, it would probably be more efficient.

Maybe they're allowed to listen to things as they work, and some staff listen to it then. But I don't think one of their required tasks is "Listen weekly to RSBANDBUpdate!".

If I worked on Runescape, I'm not sure I'd want to experience it after I've come home from working on it all day. Then again, you honestly never know. Jagex has been doing a lot of fan outreach with Mechscape sites, so maybe they've turned a mew leaf.

Im going to agree with the majority and say I don't believe Jagex is 'listening' either.

I think there is a much better chance that Jagex employee(s) might listen in their own free time out of mere interest. I agree with Warren; Jagex aren't going to harvest podcasts for feedback or opinion when they can only get the feedback of a maximum of 3-4 people. When they can get the feedback from tens of thousands of people through polls and suggestions in a way that requires much less effort from them.
