The eastern coast of the U.S. (from NYC to Maryland), as most of you know, is getting a huge snowstorm tomorrow. Where I live, it just started and school has already been cancelled. There's supposed to be anywhere from 8-16 inches. To other people who live near where it's supposed to happen, has the snow started (if it has,is it deep), and has your school been cancelled (if you go to school)?

Live in NYC, nearly every single public school has been canceled including mine. You can not imagine how hard everybody in my law class cheered when they heard the announcement over the speakers.

I'll probably end up getting all the sleep I can on the day and have a nice movie marathon day on my couch like a lazy ******** that I am.

It sounds like the Snow Storm Edmonton had last year during the Christmas Break. Snow up to my knees (I believe I was 6'2" at that time), 20+ minutes to get to school, when I live like 10 minutes from school. And hundreds of car crashes. Now I know it's worse for you guys because you never get Snow like that, but good luck, enjoy the days off (unless your really into school, then try to dig a way out and towards school for the next day ;)).

Yet, where I live, perhaps the snowiest city in the United States, has not seen anything from these storms. DC almost has more snow than us, hell, it might just be the most snow they've ever seen in their lives.
For anyone who's interested, http://goldensnowglobe.com/current-top-10-snowiest-cities/ is a rather interresting site to watch for the snow totals. Good luck to you guys down there, least you can just dump it into the ocean.

There's crazy weather everywhere. It's raining more and harder than usual for an Arizona winter.

Happened up in the Northwest here in Washington the past two years, but apparently it skipped us and went straight to the east coast this year. xD

We've maybe gotten an inch or two where I live, but the past two years before this were brutal. Got practically a week off from school (high school that is) in both of those years. This years, it's been a little wet, but just not cold enough at the right time to snow or stay on the ground for that matter. You'll be fine. Just more time to play Runescape!

I had two days off thanks to the snowstorm. Weds/Thurs I was off and my president's day holiday is from Friday-Monday, so I have a six day weekend :D It was a crazy storm though; I got about 15 inches.

I live in Maryland. Right now the snow is past my knees. Not quite sure the exact number of inches but it's insane.

They gave us a two hour early dismissal last Friday (Feb 5) and due to the snow they had to cancel school for the entire week (Feb 8-12) . Presidents day is on Monday so we're off again then, and it's supposed to snow Monday night so we may get out of school yet again. Even if it doesn't snow Monday, we'll be out of school for 10 days :D It's been great. A little boring at times when the roads are so bad no one can drive. But yeah it's been nicee
