THIS GUIDE IS FOR RSBANDB AND RSBANDB ONLYCreated by Connor and WarrenThanks to Mike for some help IntroHunter is not thought of as a multi-task skill. Usually you have to pay attention to your traps at all times. LocationsShop/EquipmentThere are two hunting shops. One in Yanille and one in Nardah. To save time, I suggest buying 5 of each item so you don't need to return to the shops. Polar camoRequires 1 Hunter to wearWoodland camoRequires 1 Hunter to wearJungle camoRequires 4 Hunter to wearDesert camoRequires 10 Hunter to wearLarupiaRequires 28 Hunter to wearGraahk Requires 38 Hunter to wearKyatt Requires 52 Hunter to wearSpotted capeRequires level 40 Hunter to wearGloves of silenceRequires level 54 Hunter to wearSpottier capeRequires level 66 Hunter to wearTracking - 1+Tracking is one of the easiest ways to train Hunter. The fact that it’s not the easiest makes it pointless to train for XP. The idea of this is just what the name says. You track an animal by searching different things. Rocks, logs, tunnels, all things that lead to the animal. The only items required for this type of hunting are noose wands and if you want, bring the camo for that area.Animal | Level Required | XP Gained | Reward | Location | Extra | Polar kebbit | 1 | 30 | Bones, meat, fur | Trollweiss | Fur can be made into camo | Common kebbit | 3 | 36 | Bones, meat, fur | Piscatoris | Fur can be made into camo | Feldip weasel | 7 | 48 | Bones, meat, fur | Feldip Hills | Fur can be made into camo | Desert devil | 13 | 66 | Bones, meat, fur | Uzer | Fur can be made into camo | Razorbacked kebbit | 49 | 348 | Bones, kebbit spike | Piscatoris Hills | Kebbit spikes can be used to make bolts for the Hunters' crossbow | Bird catching - 1+Bird catching is the best XP for a low level. Of course you will have to move each time you unlock a new bird to catch but it’s worth it. Set your bird snare(s) and hide! Waiting for the birds to rest on the perch will be the most boring part of this hunting but like I said, it’s worth it.Animal | Level Required | XP Gained | Drops | Location | Extra | Crimson swift | 1 | 34 | Bones, meat, red feathers | Feldip Hills | Red feathers can be used in Fletching | Golden Warbler | 5 | 48 | Bones, meat, orange feathers | Uzer (Desert) | Orange feathers can be used in Fletching | Copper longtail | 9 | 62 | Bones, meat, brown feathers | Piscatoris | Brown feathers can be used in Fletching | Cerulean twitch | 11 | 64 | Bones, meat, blue feathers | Trollweiss | Blue feathers can be used in Fletching. | Tropical wagtail | 19 | 95 | Bones, meat, stripy feathers | Feldip Hills | Stripy feathers can be used to catch rainbow fish | Butterfly catching - 15+Animal | Level Required | XP Gained | Reward | Location | Extra | Ruby harvest | 15 | 24 | Ruby harvest in a jar | Piscatoris | Can be used on another player to boost their Attack | Sapphire glacialis | 25 | 34 | Sapphire glacialis in a jar | Trollweiss | Can be used on another player to boost their Defence | Snowy knight | 35 | 44 | Snowy knight in a jar | Trollweiss | Can be used on another player to boost their Hitpoints | Black warlock | 45 | 54 | Black warlock in a jar | Feldip Hills | Can be used on another player to boost their Strength | Impling hunting - 17+Animal | Level Required | XP Gained (Puro-Puro) | XP gained (world) | Location | Baby impling | 17 | 18 | 20 | Worldwide | Young impling | 22 | 20 | 22 | Worldwide | Gourmet impling | 28 | 22 | 24 | Worldwide | Earth impling | 36 | 25 | 27 | Worldwide | Essence impling | 42 | 27 | 29 | Worldwide | Eclectic impling | 50 | 30 | 32 | Worldwide | Nature impling | 58 | 34 | 36 | Worldwide | Magpie impling | 65 | 44 | 216 | Worldwide | Ninja impling | 74 | 50 | 240 | Worldwide | Dragon impling | 83 | 65 | 300 | Worldwide | Deadfall - 23+Animal | Level Required | XP Gained | Reward | Location | Extra | Wild Kebbit | 23 | 128 | Kebbit claws, bones | Piscatoris | Kebbit claws can be used to make spiked vambraces | Barbtailed Kebbit | 33 | 168 | Barbtailed harpoon, bones | Feldip Hills | A barbtailed harpoon can be equipped and used to fish | Prickly kebbit | 37 | 204 | Kebbit spike, bones | Piscatoris | Kebbit spikes can be used to make bolts for the Hunters' crossbow | Sabretooth kebbit | 51 | 200 | Kebbit teeth, bones | Trollweiss | Kebbit teeth can be ground using a pestle and mortar to create a Hunter potion. | Box trapping - 27+Animal | Level Required | XP Gained | Bait | Location | Extra | Ferret | 27 | 115 | Raw meat | Piscatoris | Ferrets are used to flush rabbits | Chinchompa | 53 | 198 | Spiced chopped tomatoes | Piscatoris | Chinchompas can be used as a Ranged weapon | Red chinchompa | 63 | 265 | Spiced minced meat | Feldip Hills | Red chinchompas can be used as a Ranged weapon | Pawya | 66 | 400 | Must be baited with papaya | Isafdar | When catching a pawya you will get raw pawya meat and bones. | Grenwall | 77 | 1100 | Must be baited with raw pawya meat | Isafdar | When catching a grenwall you will get grenwall spikes and bones | Rabbit Snaring - 27+Animal | Level Required | XP Gained | Reward | Location | Extra | Rabbit | 27 | 144 | Bones, raw rabbit meat, rabbit foot | Piscatoris | Rabbit‘s foot can be strung and made into a rabbit-foot necklace which increases nest drops | Net trapping - 29+Animal | Level Required | XP Gained | Bait | Location | Extra | Swamp lizard | 29 | 152 | Guam tar | Swamp Lizard Area in Morytania | Swamp lizards can be used as a weapon | Orange salamander | 47 | 224 | Marrentill tar | Uzer (Desert) | Orange salamanders can be used as a weapon | Red salamanders | 59 | 272 | Tarromin tar | South-west of Ardougne | Red salamanders can be used as a weapon | Black salamander | 67 | 304 | Harralander tar | Trollweiss | Black salamanders can be used as a weapon | Pitfall - 31+Animal | Level Required | XP Gained | Reward | Location | Extra | Spined larupia | 31 | 180 | Big bones, spined fur | Feldip Hills | Fur can be made into spined larupia clothing | Horned graahk | 41 | 240 | Big bones, horned graahk fur | Karamja (near Shilo) | Fur can be made into graahk clothing | Sabretooth kyatt | 55 | 300 | Big bones, sabretooth fur | Trollweiss | Fur can be made into sabretooth kyatt clothing | Falconry - 43+Animal | Level Required | XP Gained | Reward | Location | Extra | Spotted kebbit | 43 | 104 | Spotted kebbit fur, bones | Falconry area | Fur can be made into spotted capes | Dark Kebbit | 57 | 132 | Dark kebbit fur, bones | Falconry area | Fur can be made into gloves of silence | Dashing kebbit | 69 | 156 | Dashing kebbit fur, bones | Falconry area | Fur can be used to make spottier capes | Imp boxes - 71+Animal | Level Required | XP Gained | Reward | Bait | Location | Imp | 71 | 450 | Trapped imp | Beads | Worldwide | Recommended training1-27 I suggest doing the highest bird you can catch. Do not waste your time with butterflies. You'll find they're not worth the time you spend on them. 27-29 This is probably the easiest part of Hunter. You really should do Eagles' Peak for these two levels. It's a quick and easy quest with a fair reward. The guide can be found here29-43 Eagles' Peak not only gives you two Hunter levels. It also unlocks two new Hunter animals which are rabbits and ferrets. Ferrets are caught by box trap and can be used to flush rabbits from their holes. This is probably the fastest XP you will get going from 29-43. 43-47 Now that you're flying through Hunter. You unlock the skill to use a falcon for hunting. Head over to the Falconry area with 500 gp. Grab your bird and go to town catching those Spotted kebbits. 47-59 These next levels will probably be the worst. Head to Shantay Pass with 4 waterskins, a knife, the most traps you can set, and if you want, bring your graahk armour for camo. You will be catching orange salamanders. 59-70 This is the most hated and probably makes most people quit Hunter. You will probably want to buy 100 nets if you don't like to pay attention. I didn't wear any camo while hunting here. This will be red salamanders. The best spot is the spot uphill in view of the ZMI altar entrance. 70-99 This is your final animal and the most relaxing. You will need 5 box traps. I suggest setting in a square while you can only set 4 and when you can set 5 just put the last one in the middle of the square. A side suggestion is to bring mithril seeds to deal with the few that try to kick you out. The Hunter capeMoney making with HunterYes, there are ways to make money with Hunter. The only real way is hunting chinchompas. Both normal and red sell but the red sell faster and for a higher price. I wouldn’t suggest trying to make money with Hunter until level 60 for normal chinchompas and 70 for reds. The other way is when you become a high level hunter, you can catch “rare” implings. These implings are usually Dragon and Ninja. Dragon implings drop items with a wealth value of about 10k-1.2M+. Eagle Transportation *note: you can use one rope as many times as you want. When you finish Eagles' Peak you will be able to ride an eagle to 3 Hunter areas.
To ride to Nardah you must move a large boulder in the desert.(Requires 45+ Strength)To ride to Feldip you must help a small vine grow up to the eyrie's entrance. The vine can be supported by a teasing stick.
To ride to Rellekka you must use some icy handholds. You will need at least 35 Agility to do this.Impetuous Impulses Of course this is a whole different subject but since it relates to Hunter, I’ll touch on it. This is a Hunter based mini-game that takes place in all of RuneScape but is centered on Puro-Puro. Puro-Puro is a box area filled with magic wheat that moves and of course, implings. These implings can be caught for Hunter XP, money, or for pure fun.
