i am going for a saradomin sword.. and i would like to ask a question to any one who is willing to answer. do merch clans really work? plus i need to know a good way to make cash for ss >=)

I would not bother with them. Some tell you to go to a website then they try to steal your password. If they say it in game, report them.
some are as tal said with websites to steal passwords.
others only profit the operators in that they dump the item then tell everyone else to do so after their own stock has sold off totally.
so that they profit alot while everyone else is just there to help them manipulate the prices and ensure the leader's stock will sell when he wants to switch items.
as for making honest gp for a sarasword try slayer, runecrafting, hunter, mining, fishing, woodcutting, or farming herbs. all tend to be decent money making skillz.
Charging glories is 600k-1m an hour if you do it right. The catch is that Jagex put a limit on buying non-bulk items so you can only make like 400-600k a day. But it's a nice little cash booster.
