If you want the fastest woodcutting experience, powercut teaks. The best spot is at ape atoll because there's no randoms, but there's another spot in the jungle just north of the nature alter.
Also, the dragon axe is definitely a worthy investment. By the sounds of it you aren't using your money to merchant or anything so it would just be sitting in your bank anyways, and you can always
sell the D axe after your finished. Good luck!! =D
If you do powercut teaks, you can try to get a burner so you just trade them all instead of dropping them.
