how do you get the pet after the quest ? do ya know :o
There's a chance you'll get lost on the way out.
Then you either kick or gently open the egg you find in the 'lost & found' chasm, and it'll give you a phoenix chick.
I dunno how you get out after.

When you go back every day to kill the Phoenix it has a chance to drop the egg.

the egg isn't a drop.
you'll run into an egg if u get lost on your way out after the fight.
