cause everyone's fighting for the stuff that's in rebate

and maybe because the customers don't have time to unbox their products until the day after because they wasted so many hours shopping?

it is because in europe ppl give to the homeless the day after xmas they give food toys etc

We don't want to know about (-)ed up American meanings for Boxing Day.

It's boxing day because people put their Christmas decorations in boxes. Steve mentioned a tradition, not a meaning.
