In digital signal processing, anti-aliasing is the technique of minimizing the distortion artifacts known as aliasing when representing a high-resolution signal at a lower resolution.

Anti-aliasing is used in digital photography, computer graphics, digital audio, and many other applications.

It smooths the edges of images and models. In RS, for example, it makes the character's arms look real, and removes the look of chopped up edges.

It softens the edges of your images, less pixelated and more realistic.
