Yeah (x + y)^2 was correct. That's equal to (x + y)(x + y), which factorised is only (x + y)^2, which can't be factorised further, as far as I'm aware.
oh. well I meant like multiply it as the average joe would put "x^2+y^2" I was just wondering if anyone would actually put x2+y2 instead of the correct answer(x^2+2xy+Y^2)
