It's misleading, it's not HTML5 that's needed. It's actually WebGL. WebGL support exists in other browsers but developers often target a specific browser to make things easier (such as bug hunting).
Is there a specific link to goto where I can test out the beta? Whenever I goto the beta linked on the site, it takes to to this page where it still loads a java client. Java on my Chrome is poor.
