Looks good but the graphics card is pretty disappointing for that price point, I would consider looking for something else.
I can get a NVIDIA Quadro K2000M Graphics with 2GB DDR3 Memory for 250 more. Also where should I look. I am not familiar with what the reliable laptop dealers are. Any recommendations would be great.

I already have a macbook pro. For the same price but buying a macbook I get half as much ram. With a care plan (must have) its up to 1800. Does anyone know of a good site to compare these things?

This is way overpriced for such a bad HDD and Graphics Card.
I need suggestions, at this point I have been convinced this is a bad buy.

So you are looking for good render speeds? Anything else?
Only thing I dislike about Macs is that they get too hot for my liking (previous mbp had a fried nvidia chip).
Render speed is important but Compiling code quickly is even more important. Also being able to run multiple applications at once. Also I have a relative who works higher up in apple who gets a discou
If that helps nay suggestions. But basically Must have: fast compiling, run a lot of applications.
