I sent a message to Jagex asking why I can't use a Guthan spear to fight Turoth and Kurask instead of the weak leaf-bladed spear. This is not quite what I wanted.

I think the the people at jagex just don't want to change anything in game just for you.....
I think the same thing as you just have not given it much thought as I don't have A guthan spear.
At least you got a slightly thought out answer. ;)
