Since it will take ages to get approved, I'll just say it here. To the guy with ad-ware. The only way to make sure 100% everything bad is out is to reformat (back up your important stuff first)

No, I honestly think that is an awful idea. Too much time.
Nope, that is not true. a) there are viruses/malware that can make it past a reformat (doing a write zero tends to work) an d b) those backup files will be contaminated.
His best bet is going into safe mode, running Malware Bytes, installing a solid security system (I suggest Comodo) and deleting the files that may be associated to that malware.
Computer skills > reformat. I do agree though that it i s good to reformat if the problem occurs a lot, and what I mentioned above does not work.

Mine took me 40 minutes, minus transfering 70GB of movies, 10GB of pure satanic sin, 5gb of pictures and videos, 1GB of music, 10GB of TV shows over USB 2
Along with updating windows and all the drivers? I don't think so.
