Thoughts on upgradable game consoles? Like proprietary graphics card ($~100?) and CPU's, maybe RAM too. It's just consoles depreciate fairly quickly (gfx-wise)... upgrades will combat this

It'd be nice, if even you had to buy a specific upgrade rather than choose what you wanted. Ex - Have to buy a 6750 to upgrade, rather than 6850 or similar.
Console performance is laughable.
I was watching a friend play GTAIV this weekend on an Xbox 360, and it was stuttering and laggy.. And he was walking around, moving the camera. Explosions were even worse. It's pathetic.
The actual graphics probably weren't *too* much different vs. PCs, though some textures, specifically trees, took me as a bit lower quality. But I wasn't doing a direct comparison, so I'm not sure.
