If they are going to work on it, it would take more than a year as I read none currently planned, so I doubt any in 2013 either, they'd have to be working on it right now.
I'm really interested in why they stopped expanding the map at the rate they used to. We get say... what 3 patches of the unknown become visible 3 times a year? Remember when we had new continents....
Not to be the one pissing in your cereal, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them stop doing updates (except invisible ones, like against bots) They havent done any updates worth a shit lately.

Skill or minigame it is a great piece of content. Jagex have listed it as a skill, therefore it is a skill. I think those that insist it is a minigame are butt hurt for whatever reason.
