Eden Eternal had that in their game but took it off bots found a way to close it, but Jagex is a java game which I think if Jagex thought it through enough no bots can close it.
Dr Harlow it is not that sickening. Those at about level 110 aren't mains botting but Rwt accounts farming cash. I only get annoyed when mains bots or the bots get in my way, at which point I report.
Captchas would be even less effective than the current random events. Text recognition (of even obfusicated text) would be a lot easier to program than a whole method of playing out a random event.
@Mike, not necessarily they interface with the client and know were items, latters etc are. If you've ever looked at the api you'd know what I mean. TBH it's not fixable. :
