Seriously, when will Jagex's facebook obsession end? Now they want you to "like" them on facebook to get an key to play the beta for 8Realms. Why are they deliberately trying exclude those of us...

who prefer not to use social network sites. I'm honestly coming close to ending my membership and going back to free play.
Sometimes I feel like my grandmother who was paranoid of using ATM machines. I'm not afraid of new technology, but there's just something about facebook that freaks me out, LOL.
By the way, I'm not even remotely interested in 8Realms, (I learned my lesson by wasting my time in their war of legends game), but they should give alternative methods for participation.
To be honest, the vast majority of RS players have a facebook account. If Jagex didn't use that to market their products I'd consider them retarded. They aren't 'excluding' anyone...
You can make a facebook, therefore you aren't excluded. They are a business, they can market their games in a way they see most beneficial to them.
True, I can join facebook, but it should not be "Required", in order to participate in Runecape activities, especially if you are a paying member.
well, you can't always (legaly) make a facebook, I am not sure, but don't you have to be 14 (in a legal sense [I guess legal is the word]) and jagex only "requires" 13 to play
The facebook issue is for beta keys currently. The final game won't likely need facebook for access.
