Sometimes D-Bow isn't the best for standard range xp, rune c bows are good in my opinion, d bow is good for pking. I could be totally wrong though.

Get Rune c bow, some bolts and obby shield.
Dbow is good for PvP
When training, use rune cbow for higher defence targets, cheap darts/knives for lower
